Activating your licence

One key, one site. How activation works, what it checks, and what happens when it cannot reach the licence server.

Activate

Go to User Access → License, paste the key you received with your purchase, and press Activate License.

The banner at the top of the screen turns green and reads Your license is active. All Pro features are enabled. Every Pro menu entry appears at once.

The License screen with an active licence: status banner, masked key, and the Deactivate button.

  • The banner reads Active
  • The version shown matches the plugin you installed
  • The Pro entries are in the User Access menu

One key, one site

Activation registers your site's address with the licence server, which returns an activation identifier stored on the site. It is that identifier — not the key — that is checked afterwards.

Two consequences worth knowing:

  • Moving or renaming your site looks like a new site to the licence server. Deactivate before the move and activate again afterwards, or you spend an activation.
  • Staging copies count. A staging site cloned from production carries the same identifier; activating it separately uses a second activation.

What "all features enabled" means

Exactly what it says: the licence is not tiered. Either it is active and every Pro feature is available, or it is not and none are.

When the licence server cannot be reached

The check is cached for an hour, so a brief outage passes unnoticed. Beyond that, the plugin falls back to the licence data it already holds rather than locking you out mid-request.

Deactivating a licence from your account dashboard takes up to an hour to be felt on the site. That is the price of not asking the network on every page load.

Deactivating

Deactivate License on the same screen releases the activation so you can use it elsewhere. Pro stays installed and immediately stops loading its features — the free plugin carries on unchanged.
